I thought it would be cute to use some from a vineyard because I live in wine country.

It has been 7 months after my wedding, and no I did not do a trash the dress session. I, however, did not want to preserve my dress because I wanted to be able to see it everyday. That is when I decided to 'Throw my Dress'. What in the world does that mean? A very dear friend of my family was willing to sew my dress into a throw pillow, hence, 'Throw the Dress' (feel free to use this yourself).
I am so very excited about this and I finally have it in my hot little hand house. Are you ready for it?

Okay, I need everyone's input. I am planning on doing a Q&A about me here soon so any questions you may have leave a comment or email and I will try and include them all (depending on how many questions I get).

what an interesting concept! really.. my dress is in my closet for 28 yrs...I was going to give it to my daughter to wear but she wanted her own....I think I am loving that pillow!!
ReplyDeleteI am your newest follower from the hop..pls follow back if you can.
Thank you so much for the comment and for stopping by. For the dress/pillow, I would have never worn my mother's dress and do not expect my daughter, if I have one, to wear my dress. I love being able to see my 'dress' everyday. Means so much to me! I say go ahead and make that pillow.
DeleteHey! Thanks for the award!! See your email...I've got a good idea!!
